The M series units are unlike any other monitoring and control systems in the water treatment industry. The M series are unmanned, automated customizable treatment units that compartmentalize the functions of the Revolution Control Unit to meet the specific requirements of each job. Clear Water has expanded their “M Series” to three different units: M1, M3 and M5 as described below:
The M1 is a real-time water quality monitoring and data logging system that can be incorporated into many different applications. From monitoring municipal stormwater quality to characterizing industrial stormwater for treatment technology selection, the M1 can be used to collect pH, turbidity, flow, temperature or any other inline water quality meter in real time. Data is collected within the PLC and HMI onsite and transmitted to Clear Water’s secure server where it can then be formatted into customizable reports and has the capability to provide statistical and trending analysis. The M1 can also be integrated with rain-gauge and auto samplers to collect time-weighted composite samples or instantaneous samples for more detailed analysis at a lab. The M1 includes remote telemetry and control features to alert technicians to field conditions and any maintenance requirements.
Clear Water’s M3 Water Quality Monitoring Station contain all the features of the M1 system with the addition to control the flow direction of water based on water quality parameters. The M3 is used in dewatering applications, stormwater, groundwater, process/waste water scenarios to determine if the water quality can be discharged to storm, sanitary or transferred to an onsite treatment system. Using a Programmable Logic Controller, the unit will monitor pH, turbidity and flow while collecting real-time data in reportable formats. Utilizing automated pneumatic valve systems, the M3 is designed to automatically terminate discharge when the water quality goes outside of set parameters and resume discharge if the water quality improves. The M3 provides fail-safe features to ensure that water is conveyed to the right place on your jobsite, saving the project significant treatment costs while providing assurance that the permit benchmarks will be met at all times.
In addition to the M1 and M3, Clear Water has manufactured the M5 system as an all-inclusive treatment control unit. The M5 combines multiple system components, such as, chemical injection, monitoring, and pump controls, into one treatment controller with all of the features of the Revolution Control Unit with a condensed footprint. Similar to the M3, the M5 uses a Programmable Logic Controller to monitor for pH, turbidity and flow. In addition the treatment container has chemical metering pumps to automatically adjust incoming water for a variety of contaminants. Lastly the M5 has the capability to regulate pumps, monitor tank levels and provide automated treatment operations with remote controls and automated data logging. The M5 is a fully customizable unmanned treatment container capable of solving most water treatment problems.
