About the Role: 

The Environmental Consultant/Project Manager will be responsible for tracking, maintaining, and developing complex water treatment projects. The ideal candidate will have experience operating in the water treatment industry, have experience managing teams including contractors and various site staff, they must be able to coordinate and deliver on set timelines, communicate effectively, and take ownership in their work. Travel up to 25% is required. 

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans to track progress and ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Provide consulting services based on proficiency with the WA ISGP and other stormwater permits.
  • Work well within a diverse team with different skill sets.
  • Prepare high level technical reports, emails, proposals and feedback with minimal oversight.
  • Scope, coordinate, and perform field work to support treatment systems.
  • Perform and oversee data entry and QA/QC of data tables, drawings, reports, and other documents.
  • Manage relationships with Clients and other stakeholders/contractors.
  • Maintain compliance with any or all water quality standards/environmental regulations.
  • Develop project estimates and budgets
  • Review & design water treatment systems, provide feedback/troubleshooting.
  • Support bid/proposal efforts as needed.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Management, or related 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a leadership position within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to triage situations quickly and take appropriate actions. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, ect).
  • Must be able to read and follow construction drawings, layouts, and other technical documents.
  • Demonstrated experience working within the guidelines of environmental regulatory permits.
  • 2+ years experience leading/supervising/scheduling multidisciplinary teams.
  • 2+ years managing multiple concurrent projects and timelines. 
  • Travel up to 25% required.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Masters degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Management, or related. 
  • Experience managing complex water treatment systems.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:  

Most of the work is performed in a warehouse setting or outside but will require occasional time at a desk. Physical requirements of the position include walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods, lifting heavy objects (50 lbs or more), climbing, crouching, operating tools, and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
