This 2+ acre plot in South Seattle was cleared to construct a new mixed-use building comprised of almost 200,000 square feet of apartment space with 182 apartment units, 123 underground parking spaces, and 11,000 square feet of commercial space. The development contractor brought in Clear Water services to assist with stormwater and groundwater on site. The client encountered more water than expected during excavations, with regular turbidity measurements over 500NTUs, requiring Clear Water to deploy 2 additional tanks and allow more settling time before running through sand filters. Ultimately, more than 4.5 million gallons of water were successfully discharged while adhering to all permit guidelines.
