BMP Planning & Installation

Clear Water offers a range of products and services to meet your site’s BMP needs. Our team can assess the site, identify risks, recommend a range of products, and complete the installation - all with one team and one point of contact.
- Straw wattles: (also known as fiber rolls or sediment logs) are tube-shaped erosion control devices made of compressed straw fiber wrapped in photodegradable or biodegradable netting. They are used to reduce water velocity, capture sediment, and prevent erosion on slopes and channels.
- Catch basin protection: inserts that strip sediment and debris from runoff before it reaches storm drains.
- Construction entrances: graded/graveled entry pads (roughly 20'x50'x12" deep, sized to the site's erosion control plan) that knock sediment off tires before vehicles reach public roads; can include tread-cleaning plate rental.
- Gravel bags / silt stoppers: woven polymer bags used at catch basins and as velocity breaks.
- Erosion control blankets (RECPs): biodegradable straw, coco, or straw/coco blend blankets (or jute netting) for slopes and swales, often combined with hydroseed or wattles.
- Silt fencing: a temporary barrier placed around the perimeter of building and grading projects to keep eroded dirt inside the property. It is usually paired with other controls where soil is actively disturbed.
Erosion & Sediment Control

Sediment runoff is directly tied to regulatory triggers. Our team can help with the prevention, reduction, and removal of construction site pollutants.
- Silt fencing, straw wattles, and fiber rolls
- Soil stabilization
- Inlet protection and drain guards
- Stabilized construction entrances
- Dewatering discharge controls
