The project included a short-term (6-month) 500-gpm pilot system that demonstrated treatment objectives could be met without expensive adsorptive medias.
The project team was able to exceed project expectations by implementing a lower life cycle cost active treatment alternative with 3 redundant treatment trains.
The treatment effluent data has also consistently showed significant reductions in heavy metals.
